Turning Point Tale

I know when I started this blog I kinda promised myself (and the universe) to actually maintain and really update it like a real blog. Obviously I failed hard. Haha!

Hello redemption!

I think I'm going through a turning point right now. Like when people say something huge happens or that they're going through something intense like a milestone and they call it the "turning point"? I think I'm in that very situation right now.

Just a quick recap before we forget what happened during my MIA days (at least in the blogosphere)..

How did I say that I'm currently walking the Turning Point Street?

In August 2012, God gave me the job I've been praying for. I might not have mentioned it yet, but I used to be a part of the Recruitment Department of a certain call center. There I learned that to say that BPO = TOXIC is just a plain understatement. And so I asked the Lord to give me an 8am-5pm job with no OT necessary, in a company located nearby, and a position and salary higher than what I was getting. What can I say, I got those after 3 months of praying. Work-life balance, nice to meet you, too! You see it is so important to ask God for specific prayers. First, you get a clear message if it's His will or not. Second, it magnifies the effect on you when it's granted. I don't know about you but I felt spoiled when He responded like that.
pardon the crispness (or lack, thereof hehe)

In October 2012, Ralph was baptized to Christ. Actually the answered prayer arrived way before the baptism. He didn't have THE moment. It was a really gradual process of waiting and praying on my part until he finally decided to join a victory group (what we call our church's fellowship groups). Boy that was huge because I literally prayed for this person daily for a year before my prayer was answered. Though I know of some people who waited longer for breakthroughs to arrive, I still can't help but feel so empowered for having been able to persevere for this one faith goal. Glory is not mine, of course. I only lasted that long because of God's grace.

In November 2012, Ralph popped the big question and I said YES. Agad agad! Haha. I'm so glad I didn't hesitate anymore because the question of whether to marry this person or not has long since been asked. Yes, because girls, we don't get in a relationship with a guy we don't see as a husband someday. We don't waste time dating around or even sleeping around (it's sad that I had to include the latter 'cause it really happens). Relationships shouldn't be disposable. It's an investment. And just like any other, we want it to grow and last, forever.

Lastly, the Lord blessed me with an unexpected business -- the Monster Hug Pillow! Now this one I didn't seriously pray for. However, I realized it was still an answer to one of my consistent prayers -- provision & financial breakthrough. Here we see that God actually moves in mysterious ways. He is creative enough to provide us with interestingly creative answers. Not only did we (I and partner Jenan) earn some extra, we also learned a lot of things in business in such a short span of time. Plus, we enjoyed it! Not that we're done with this thing because we're still doing great, thanks to God. And Valentine's is just around the corner so yeah, we might be a little more busy than usual :)

There. I guess I have pretty much summarized them. Four huge things. Career breakthrough, salvation, engagement, and financial breakthrough. To make this entry more personal, yes, I actually cried to each of those answered prayers. :)

Now what's up for me?
In exactly 4 months from now, I'm marrying my bestfriend.
The stress I'm going through because of the wedding preps is an entirely different story to tell. I hope to make a comprehensive entry for that.

For now, I'm glad we could catch up. :) xoxo
