Divergent in theaters on March 21, 2014

(at least in the US) I hope it's the same in the Philippines, or earlier if possible?

Divergent movie, divergent veronica roth, divergent in theater, divergent official trailer, divergent casts, 50 shades of grey casting

I have already read a lot of comments expressing disappointments on how the movie (scenes, casts, costumes, etc.) did not follow how they were described on the book and I'm not allowing these to ruin my excitement. I mean, come on people. This is the nth book-inspired movie that will be released in the history of book-inspired movie productions. Don't tell me you still don't get the drill. I say get over yourselves and accept already that there's no such thing as a book-consistent movie. Otherwise, prepare yourselves for a frustration-filled fangirl/fanboy-book-consistent-movie-obsessed kind of life ahead.

How to pull an all-nighter

Last Friday, another set of friends spent a night in our humble home -- ze officemates. Unlike with the Springbreaker's the weekend before, this one's a total all-nighter. Now now, it's one thing to prep dinner and midnight snack for visitors and it sure is another plane altogether to prep food that will last until breakfast lunch the next day.

Here is sharing with you everything I cooked including the recipe of now slowly becoming my favorite pasta to cook -- Charlie Chan.

1 whole boneless chicken breast
1/3 cup olive oil
1 piece onion
2 garlic cloves
1 1/4 tablespoons Char Siu Sauce (lee kum kee)
9 tablespoons oyster sauce (lee kum kee)
1/8 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons water
1 kg cooked pasta
peanuts

How to rock a housewarming

It was a yet another fantastic Springbreaker kind of night last Friday. Ralph and I prepared some sort of "house-warming" and the guys willingly obliged. Here is sharing to you what I cooked.

what to do during housewarming, housewarming

Broiled Chicken Inasal. Does that name even make sense? OK I didn't cook this one. I asked for Ma's help to broil me this whole chicken and the guys loved it. It's marinated in Clara Ole Inasal flavored marinade and was stuffed with lemongrass. Beside is Lechon Liempo brought by Owel & Claro. Thank you, gentlemen.

Review: Minoxidil Regroe Hair Regrowth Treatment

hairstyle to hide wide forehead, girls with natural wavy hair, naturally wavy hair, big curlsnaturally wavy hair, big curls, prenup themes, prenup photos

I love my hair so much. I'm one of those who were blessed with naturally wavy hair. While others would have to go to the salon and pay for expensive perming treatments, I would just have to hand-comb mine and it will fall naturally like in the photos above, tied or otherwise. But before you melt with jealousy, calm yourself down. I have a confession to make. I'm suffering from terrible hair fall. It's a shame because my hair strands are already fine as they are so even without the help of hair loss, my locks already lacks in volume. I have been using anti-hair fall conditioner and even other natural hair treatment but to no avail.

Krazy Garlik was not so crazy after all

It was my first to sample this restaurant last weekend. In fact, it was my first to hear of it. Last Saturday, Ralph and I went to Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila with Owel and Claro to watch a movie. The plan was to watch Percy Jackson but we ended up seeing Star Cinema's Bakit Di Ka Crush ng Crush Mo. Don't ask. No point in whining, we enjoyed the movie anyway. After the movie, we went straight to Krazy Garlik.

What makes Gilas Pilipinas victorious?

Today is the morning after Gilas Pilipinas lost the FIBA Asia gold medal to Iran. What a week that was! If you're in Manila or even a Filipino abroad, you don't have to be a basketball fan to understand how much hosting this event meant to our country and Gilas players.

After the momentous and heartfelt victory over South Korea on Saturday night, which secured us a spot on the 2014 World Cup in Spain, our Davids from Gilas Pilipinas were led face to face with the our modern-day Goliaths led by Hamad Haddadi of Iran on Sunday night and lost by 14 points.

But you know what's weird? I actually feel not a single hint of losing. I woke up feeling victorious. And you know why? It's not because our team has achieved its goal of making it to the World Cup, although that could be the best culprit behind the hype I saw on my Facebook feeds. It's overwhelming how, once again, the Filipino people were in unity towards one goal. But no, that's not the reason I feel extra warm and giddy and hopeful right now.

An Act of Respect for Marriage

I'll be perfectly honest. I'm writing about this topic because I'm bored out of my wits of the realization that it's been quite a while since I have written something that I can tag under the labels thoughts or point of view. In other words, I think I've been posting really relatively mundane stuff lately. Ugh! Blame Sidney Sheldon. Actually, no. Blame the awesome blogger, Nathalie, as the idea came from her. Now I'm on my third Sheldon book and I just can't stop! Late bloomer, eh?

Anyway, yesterday wasn't a very good Monday for me. Let's just say that I kind of expected myself to be really busy and productive at work being that I was primed that road traffic is indicative of how busy a day is going to be. And boy was it the worst Monday traffic that I have experienced in a while! Like mad I was late for work for 1 minute and I am never late! OK I'm babbling. I'll stop babbling right here. Yesterday, since it wasn't the usual kind of busy Monday, at least where my work load is concern, I had an ample time to ponder on some parts of my lifestyle that I had to tweak in relation to my recent change of civil status. And the big reveal is... *drumroll*

Review: Kleenex Facial Oil Blotter

I have been in a relationship with this particular fella since roughly half a decade ago. Quite a while, eh? And can you imagine I have not mentioned the poor thing even a single time on this cyber-lot I own? What kind of a best friend does that, right?

So to redeem myself from this unforgivable negligence, here's a very brief review on Kleenex Facial Oil Blotter.
